Gydan JV of Gazprom Neft, Shell to start commercial production 2028

MOSCOW, Jun 22 (PRIME) -- A joint venture of Russian oil company Gazprom Neft and Royal Dutch Shell for the Yenisei project in the Gydan Peninsula will start commercial production in 2028, as seen by PRIME on Tuesday in a Eurobond prospectus of Gazprom Neft’s parent company Gazprom.

“The Leskinsky and Pukhupyayakhsky license sites. These license sites are located on the Gydan Peninsula on the left bank of the Yenisei River. We are conducting geological exploration at the sites now, and we plan to start commercial production in 2028 and to reach the expected combined production capacity of 19.9 million tonnes of oil in 2034,” the prospectus read.

Gazprom Neft and Shell own the joint venture that develop the Leskinsky and Pukhutsyayakhsky sites on a parity basis. Resources of the first site may exceed 100 million tonnes of oil equivalent, and of the second site may amount to 35 million tonnes of oil equivalent.
